Advising a UK-based private equity firm in its majority acquisition of a Belgian LSI

The Mandate

Mayfair Equity Partners is a private equity and venture capital investor focusing on building digital leaders. The firm is based in London and has GBP 2bn of assets under management. It invests between GBP 30– 150m in businesses valued between GBP 50–300m.

Slator’s Role

Slator acted as an advisor to Mayfair Equity Partners in its 2023 majority acquisition of Jonckers, a leading European language solutions integrator (LSI) based in Brussels, Belgium.

Founded in the mid-1990s, Jonckers also had a presence in the UK, US, EU, and Asia. Its core verticals included technology and retail, with customers including the likes of Microsoft, Adobe, and Amazon.

The Outcome

Mayfair Equity Partners successfully completed the majority acquisition of Jonckers in Q2 2023. 

The private equity firm said it planned to maintain an active partnership with Jonckers’ management and was “seeking exciting bolt-on acquisitions to diversify Jonckers’ service offering and market reach.”

A Mayfair Partner, Waqqas Ahmed, described Jonckers as a “digital champion” in a “highly fragmented and often analogue sector.” 

*Jonckers went on to acquire Acclaro in 2024. The two companies then merged and rebranded as Acclaro.
