Language service provider (LSP) Rheinschrift has appointed a new CEO, effective April 1, 2024. Boutique agency Rheinschrift, founded in Germany in 1995, generated revenues of USD 5.2m in 2023, according to the 2024 Slator Language Service Provider Index. The company operates offices in Cologne and in Jerez, Spain.
The role will be in the hands of Alex Matusescu, who has held several leadership positions in localization since 2009, both on the buyer and LSP sides.
In his previous role as general manager of XTRF, Matusescu’s work focused on the technology side of the language industry. He told Slator that it was a good fit, as he is “fascinated by the potential to blend human development with technology,” and intends to leverage technology at Rheinschrift with a focus on people, to deepen human connections.
