Nearly 100 language industry leaders gathered in central Amsterdam on November 28, 2019, at the Andaz Hotel for a day packed with industry insights. The full agenda featured a market and tech overview, how to launch a product into a new market, globalization and localization strategies, the current state of the art in natural language processing, and more.
Intuit VP Jimena Almendares shared how they launched Quickbooks in Mexico in a record three months; showing that language and code localization is but a small part of a much bigger process that includes legal, regulatory, HR, etc.
PayPal’s Michal Antzak reminded vendors that buyers need LSPs to be less sales-oriented and become more of problem solvers — a sentiment echoed by the localization heads of Nike, Bose, Kayak and easyling in the panel discussion.
