Honyaku Center, Japan’s largest language service provider, reported results for the nine months from April 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. Honyaku’s financial year ends on March 31, 2016.
Overall, the company reported broadly flat revenue growth, with sales increasing a modest 0.8% from JPY 6.735bn (USD 58.6m) in the prior year period to JPY 6.794bn (USD 59.1m) during the nine months leading up to December 31, 2015.
Profits at the Tokyo-headquartered LSP benefited from an uptick in the company’s core translation business, increasing by 28.2% from JPY 290.6m (USD 2.5m) to JPY 372.6m (USD 3.2m).
